OneMed improves customer experience and increases revenue with a commerce solution

OneMed is northern Europe’s largest distributor of medical products, operating in more than 10 countries. new features and the ability to make quick adjustments strengthen OneMed’s competitiveness in a dynamic market.

The challenge

OneMed faced increasing competition and rising expectations for usability and functionality in their B2B webshop. The existing platform lacked the design and features required to meet customer demands. OneMed sought a modern, market-leading webshop.

A better user experience was essential to ensure that customers could quickly and efficiently find relevant products and navigate the ordering process with ease.

The solution

All customer data in one place

We developed a modern B2B webshop based on Sitecore and Ucommerce. The new platform is designed to handle OneMed’s business complexity, improve the customer experience, and enhance customer and sales support.

To further optimize usability, we built a replacement flow that allows out-of-stock or discontinued products to be automatically replaced with similar alternatives.

Agility drives higher revenue and strengthens competitiveness

The new commerce solution has reinforced OneMed’s position as northern Europe’s leading medical distributor. It has significantly improved user experience and customer satisfaction, while also increasing revenue.

The reduced maintenance burden makes it much easier for OneMed to expand—whether by adding new features or entering new markets. The solution is future-proof, supporting further development, expansion, and even potential B2C integration.

The scalability of new features provides OneMed with a strong foundation to secure larger contracts with municipalities and regional healthcare providers

Multiple sites to support different markets

The platform includes multiple sites to serve various markets, currently supporting Sweden, Norway, and Finland. We were responsible for the design and the architecture, ensuring seamless multi-site management, including language settings, marketing campaigns, and B2B marketplace functionality.

The existing website was migrated to a new Sitecore platform, which is highly suited for large-scale enterprise solutions and efficiently scales across multiple sites operating simultaneously.

In short, the new solution provides the agility OneMed needs to seize new opportunities, convert them into increased revenue, and gain market share. This agility is critical for OneMed, as the majority of its revenue is generated through the webshop.
