Konges Sløjd ready for new markets

The well-known Danish brand in children's clothing, interior design, and toys, Konges Sløjd, is entering the next phase of its international growth journey. Therefore, the company has strengthened its digital capabilities within PIM.

 

The challenge

Since its founding in 2014, Konges Sløjd has experienced continuous growth in the sale of children's clothing, interior design, and toys. Today, the company has grown into an international brand with its own webshop and an extensive network of retailers worldwide.

The international expansion requires a more structured organization of all product information. This means that product texts and images must always be up to date, colors must be accurate, and the quality of product pages must reflect the company's elegant brand.

Additionally, there was a need for an open and integration-friendly IT architecture that could help collect and distribute data to the company’s various sales channels.

Konges Sløjd needed a central platform to ensure that all product information was updated, easily accessible, and of the highest quality—a so-called "single source of truth" for product descriptions, images, and other content.

The solution

Konges Sløjd offers a wide range of products, each with different information needs. Therefore, the company, in collaboration with us, selected a new PIM (Product Information Management) system from Struct.

The system is designed to integrate with Konges Sløjd’s existing information structure and provides a clear overview of a product’s master data, including origin, technical specifications such as materials and composition, as well as logistics and descriptive information at the product level.

Behind the delivery

Konges Sløjd has a wide range of products, each with different information requirements. This includes details about the country of production, manufacturer, technical specifications such as materials and composition, as well as logistics and descriptive information at the product level.

Print, color, material, and season are specific to color variants, while size, price, and EAN numbers exist at the variant level.

The structure of the PIM system from Struct follows Konges Sløjd’s existing information structure. This provides a clear overview, better relationships between data, and increased flexibility and scalability in handling product information.

The result

With Struct PIM, it is now easier to deliver rich and sales-enhancing content to the company's own sales channels, strengthening Konges Sløjd’s brand. It is also simpler to share product information with external partners and retailers, many of whom do not have the capacity to produce content themselves.

By offering content that is already aligned with Konges Sløjd’s aesthetic, presenting the products online quickly and easily becomes possible.
