PIM transforms GN Hearing’s digital e-commerce business

GN Hearing is on an ambitious digital transformation journey, aiming to scale digital sales globally. To achieve this, GN needed to modernize its processes and upgrade its aging e-commerce infrastructure.

The challenge

Since 1869, GN has been connecting people Initially founded as a telegraph company, GN has evolved into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hearing aids and headsets.

Despite its strong market position and solid product portfolio, GN faced a significant challenge with its digital sales channels.

The company was constrained by an outdated e-commerce infrastructure that had been in operation for over a decade and relied on numerous manual processes.

To improve efficiency, GN wanted to streamline data flows across multiple systems, allowing product specialists to store and enrich product data for all GN brands.

To modernize its e-commerce infrastructure, GN Hearing decided to implement a new PIM system from inriver.

The solution enables smoother workflows and improved customer interactions by seamlessly connecting backend systems with the e-commerce landscape.

The e-commerce solution is integrated with ERP, improving transaction tracking and communication.

The PIM system supplies all product content displayed on websites and webshops.

The new solution delivers a faster, mobile-friendly website while leveraging customer data more effectively.

The PIM solution plays a central role in GN Hearing’s go-to-market processes.

It collects and enriches product data from multiple sources, ensuring that product information is accurate and accessible across website, webshop and printed product catalogs

The result

Together with GN, we have paved the way for simplified workflows and stronger customer engagement.

Today, the solution supports digital interactions with customers and partners - including audiology clinics - across GN’s strategic markets in the UK and the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

This is the enabler for digitalizing the business. Systems inside GN are tightly interconnected, and it is amazing to see that the new solution successfully creates all interconnections to the existing systems.
